Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, games, and applications (together, the "Services") provided by ObedientAmbition, Unipessoal LDA ("ObedientAmbition", "we", "us", or "our"), operating under the LagostaVentures brand and as the publisher of The Chairman. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who we are

ObedientAmbition, Unipessoal LDA is a company registered in Portugal and based in Lisbon. You can contact us at stores@lagostaventures.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Services. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Our games are rated suitable for ages 3 and above.

3. Licence to use the Services

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

• Break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the Services, except where permitted by law.
• Use cheats, bots, automation, exploits, or unauthorised third-party software to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the Services.
• Access the Services through any means other than the interfaces we provide.
• Interfere with, overload, or compromise the security or integrity of the Services.
• Sell, trade, or transfer accounts or in-game items except where we expressly allow it.

5. Virtual items and purchases

The Services may offer virtual goods, currencies, upgrades, or other items ("Virtual Items") and may display advertising. Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value, are licensed (not sold) to you, and cannot be redeemed for cash. All purchases are processed by the relevant app store (such as Google Play) and are subject to that store's terms and refund policies. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, artwork, text, logos, trademarks, characters, and other content, are owned by ObedientAmbition or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. "ObedientAmbition", "LagostaVentures", "The Chairman", and related names and logos are our brands. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

7. User content and feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, reviews, or other content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use it to operate and improve the Services, without obligation or compensation to you. You are responsible for any content you submit and confirm that you have the rights to share it.

8. Third-party services

The Services may link to or rely on third-party platforms and services (such as app stores, advertising networks, and analytics providers). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, update, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ObedientAmbition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that grant you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence, the courts of Lisbon, Portugal shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services.
